This is our most popular GPS tour route as it takes in some of the city's most breathtaking vistas. Primarily a park route, it follows the coast via the Presidio, the GG Bridge to the Ocean and returns via the GG Park. It presents you with 10 detours options including Haight Ashbury, Twin Peaks, Alamo Square and Baker Beach. It includes a fantastic finale, taking you where the tour bus can’t go! by descending Lombard Street. Average duration is 3 hours. Tours are available every half hour. Above is only an average time. For those with a limited amount of time this tour is packed with a good montage of views and vistas of the Bay, Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. The route you take is through the beautiful Marina district, and because tour buses are not permitted in this area you get a unique view of this city that many people never get to see. Hear the stories of how the area was devastated by the 1989 earthquake, how Crissy Field was converted from a Military airstrip to beautiful wetlands and see the Golden Gate Bridge from every angle! Your GoCar & Alcatraz Tour Combo ticket includes a 2 hour GoCar tour as well as an admission ticket to Alcatraz for two people. Please note these tickets are subject to availability. You must have two people per GoCar. Upon receipt of your GoCar Alcatraz Combo reservation, GoCar will email you requesting three preferred times to depart for the Alcatraz leg of your tour. We will then confirm your allocated time slot from one of those three within 48 hours. Orders must be made 7 days in advance of the date you wish to take the tour.
